**JOB DESCRIPTION**
Job title: Duty Manager (Ramp)
Reporting to: Ramp Manager (HOD)
Grade: GE 5
**Overall Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Ramp Manager (HOD), you are responsible to supervise flight handling and manage ramp operations to ensure smooth aircraft handling
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Ensure maximum productivity for deployment with all available resources, and to assist with certain task (such as headset, or driving staff to their bays etc)
- Monitor the flight timing for arrival and departure periodically to ensure service reliability
- Conduct audits on flight handling to ensure RLO & team’s adherence to safety & SOPs
- Check with PA on overall staff deployment and prepares for any mitigating measures in anticipation of deployment discrepancies
- Monitor and follow-up with SMC / relevant department with regards to equipment status & maintenance (Tractor, Skyloader, By-pass pin, headset, Marshalling Bats, Walkie-Talkie and batteries etc)
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of daily operational reports
- Preparation & certification of overtime, recall and daily time management
- Ensure smooth handling of any VVIP / VIP flights
- Liaise and coordinates with other department to ensure smooth operations
- Makes decision on granting / denying of urgent leave from staff
- Ensure proper handover / takeover duties between each shifts
- Monitor staff punctuality and maintains staff discipline
- Perform ad-hoc duties as and when required by Reporting officer
**Key Attributes**:
- Diploma in any discipline with equivalent experiences in ramp handling.
- Independent and exercise sound judgement.
- Able to work under pressure to meet reporting timelines
- Willing to pick up and broaden skill sets
- Dynamic, self-driven and an effective team leader
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to think on the feet
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
