An excellent opportunity to join a boutique Accounting/Tax advisory practice's Singapore branch in their search for a **Junior Finance Assistant/Accounts Payable **(with good tax exposure). We are a UK accounting/tax firm with branches across Europe and Asia; our clientele primarily comprises high-net-worth individuals, their businesses, and family offices.

We are looking for a local **Junior Finance Assistant/Accounts Payable **in Singapore who will play a critical role in liaising with local clients and their representatives and deal with the account’s payables tasks, while also coordinating with our internal accounting team based in Singapore. This position requires the applicant to have a foundational understanding of accounting principles, a proactive approach, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of confidentiality and efficiency.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Accounts Payable**:Manage and process accounts payable tasks, including larger amounts of invoice processing, transaction verification, and payment preparations using the XERO system. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- **Invoice Management and Reconciliation**:Regularly review and reconcile invoice discrepancies, coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues, and keep an organized system for tracking invoices and financial records.
- **Payment Processing**:Manage the weekly payment schedule to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments, including invoice uploads and approval submissions.
- **Bank Reconciliations**:Perform regular bank reconciliations to align company records with bank statements and address any discrepancies.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience managing accounts payable, preferably with less than 2 years of experience. Experience in bookkeeping will be a bonus point but not necessary.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial operations.
- Proficiency in financial software, particularly XERO, and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in English and Chinese. Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus to cater to our diverse client base.
- Eligibility to work in Singapore.
