Royal Ocean Marine is currently seeking a skilled Technical Specialist to join our client's team. As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of cable systems in the maritime industry. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of cable systems and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

**In this role, your responsibilities will include**:

- Designing and planning cable routes for new installations
- Performing cable load calculations and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Overseeing the installation and termination of cables
- Conducting tests and inspections to verify the integrity of cable systems
- Identifying and troubleshooting cable faults and performance issues
- Developing preventative maintenance programs for cable systems
- Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective cable solutions
- Providing technical expertise and support to colleagues and clients
- Keeping up-to-date with advancements in cable technology and industry best practices

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cable engineering roles
- Strong knowledge of cable systems and associated equipment
- Proficient in cable design software and relevant engineering tools
- Experience with cable installation and termination techniques
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
