**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Hua Mei Elder-centred Programme of Integrated Comprehensive Care (EPICC) **serves older persons who wish to continue living at home in spite of their complex medical conditions and limited family and social support. It provides team-managed, person-centred, integrated comprehensive care, with a day club programme. The EPICC team comprises of physician, nurse, social worker, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, centre manager, programme executive, programme assistants and driver.

Reporting to the Programme Manager, the **Healthcare Assistant **is to provide support and assistance to clients on a daily basis, attending to their needs and ensuring the smooth operation of the centre.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist the clients in activities of daily living such as feeding, taking bath, changing of clothes, changing of diapers toileting, etc
- Assist in washing, cleaning and keeping of plates and utensils used by clients for meals and activities
- Perform housekeeping chores for Centre such as disinfecting the premises and washing of clients’ clothes and materials used
- Provide home care services for clients
- Escort clients to hospitals/clinics for their appointments
- Assist in meals on wheels programme

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Key Requirements**
- WSQ/ITE Certificate in Healthcare Support (Homecare/Nursing Care)) or equivalent from recognised training centres
- Conversant in dialects to communicate with elderly clients
- Preferably with relevant working experience in eldercare, therapy aid, and nursing aid
- Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
