**Corporate Affairs & Communications**
We handle leading corporate communications, branding and marketing, partnerships, social impact, and other communications with internal and external collaborators.
**Engage and Facilitate**
You will help to engage the public and global investment community by creating, organising, and publicising platforms such as GIC Insights and Bridge Forum. Our digital presence, thought leadership, and social impact projects allow us to consistently reach out to our stakeholder and create positive impact for the long term.

You will play a key role in positioning GIC as the leading global long-term investor.
**What will you do in this role?**
We are looking for an Associate to join the Corporate Affairs & Communications (CAC) department on a 1 year fixed term contract, to drive Social Impact initiatives and support the Thought Leadership team administratively.
- The _Impact and Partnerships_ team within CAC looks to build GIC’s global network, organisational purpose and community involvement through developing and managing a strong partnership strategy, programming, and an ecosystem of partners.
- The _Corporate Communications_ team within CAC drives GIC’s Thought Leadership, to provide platforms for stakeholders to deliberate over long-term issues pertinent to the international business and investment community.
- Impact and Partnerships_
- **Event Management**
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver multiple social impact activities. These activities range from organising events to galvanise employees, recognise grant recipients and training sessions
- Manage external third-party vendors to co-ordinate all required logistics and deliverables
- Co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders, such as the employee communications and events teams, and external programme and community partners to deliver event
- **Co-ordinate Team Activities**
- Support social impact representatives from various departments to plan social impact activities with external partners from non-governmental organisations and community-based organisations
- **Admin & Content Development**
- Track and report key event/activity outcomes via post-event surveys, AAR sessions etc
- Manage, copywrite, and create content to publicise and communicate social impact events/activities internally, in consultation with the internal employee communications
- Thought Leadership_
- Assist to maintain content and speaking engagements calendar
- Assist to lay out thought leadership articles using design templates and on content management system (Wordpress)
- Support with the layout and drafting of thought leadership newsletters
- Support with the writing of relevant Intranet articles
**What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?**
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, event management, marketing or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in communications or event management related roles. Financial services background is not required
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and good judgment when handling and processing sensitive information
- Excellent time management with the ability to manage multiple events at the same time
- Strong initiative, excellent follow-through and a proactive attitude
