Job Description & Requirements You play a vital role in ensuring the accounting team, not only fulfills the professional services to Gateway’s client, you are also the critical link in helping Gateway’s clients to be successful in their businesses and represent the brand quality of Gateway of Asia. You will: - Oversees the accounting team in fulfilling the financial management of the company and carrying out the responsibilities of full accounting scope. - Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options. - Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures. - Guide accounting staff by coordinating activities and answering questions and ensuring error0free delivery. - Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management. - Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements. - Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, etc.) - Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support the Client’s financial activities. - Support forecasting and budgeting exercise as per corporate guidelines - Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required. - Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement, audits, procedures and forms both statutory and internal. - Assist in new processes and system implementation when required. - Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel. - **Able to perform consolidation is a must.** Qualification - Degree in Accounting/Business/Economics Experience - At least 5 years of financial or accountant experience with at least 2 years in a client servicing environment Competency - Excellent team and conflict management skills - Well-versed in MS Office, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word - A self-starter who is able to plan, organise and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently. - Can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Able to work under pressure and work independently. - Accuracy and attention to detail - Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills - Proficiency with financial software - Strong independent research ability - Willing to roll up your sleeves and hand-on - Able to perform consolidation FS "NOTICE" **Consequences of Not Providing Personal Data for Transaction/Service/Application** Please be noted that should you not consent and provide us with the relevant personal data to fulfill the “Purposes” of collection, use and disclosure of your personal data by Gateway of Asia, it may hinder our ability to continue to interact with you.
