[What the role is]

This is a contract position till 28 Feb 2026 as a Project Lead in the School of Engineering.

**[What you will be working on]**

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Lead and manage end-to-end projects within the advanced manufacturing and automation industry, ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, effectively communicating project goals, requirements, and expectations.
- Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including lecturers, engineers and technical officers, to define project requirements, deliverables, and milestones.
- Monitor and control project progress, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery and client satisfaction.
- Manage project financials, including budget tracking, resource utilization, and invoicing, ensuring adherence to financial targets and profitability goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize project outcomes.
- Involve in project testing and buyoff phrase.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and reviews, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project status, risks, and key performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the project team, providing guidance and support as needed.

**[What we are looking for]**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience project development & management (incl BOM, sourcing) within the advanced manufacturing and automation industry.
- Deep knowledge / experience in PLC, HMI design and PC-based programming code. Knowledge in Siemens systems will be advantageous.
- Strong technical background in Automation Industry as a previous Electrical & Software engineering role.
- Comprehensive Project Documentation & Handover experience.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams, with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing project requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand client needs, develop business cases, and drive value-added solutions.
- Experience working with clients in the semiconductor and automation industry is highly desirable.
