As a Manager specializing in AI & AI-related data management, you will not only manage a sophisticated virtual server infrastructure but also lead innovative projects that resonate with SUSS's vision of lifelong learning and societal transformation. Your leadership will be instrumental in pioneering Generative AI initiatives and prioritizing data efficiency across all projects.

Role’s Responsibilities:
**AI Development & AI Focus**:

- **AI Technology Leadership**: Lead the development of AI products, focusing on retrieval techniques, embeddings, and generative AI, contributing significantly to SUSS's strategic projects.
- **Continual Learning & Innovation**: Actively stay informed about the latest trends in AI, especially in areas like Large Language Models and emerging AI tools & technologies, incorporating these advancements into our projects.
- **Strategic Project Management**: Oversee AI projects that align with and significantly contribute to the university’s mission, driving educational innovation and excellence.

Potential Areas of Focus:

- Course Development and eTextbook Management for Enhanced Teaching & Learning.
- Advancing Data Intelligence & Analytics, and expanding our Virtual Lab capabilities.
- Incorporating Assistants/GPTs, Deep learning, and Adaptive learning technologies into educational tools and methodologies.
- Research and Administration of Educational Content, including marking and assessment systems.

**Project Management & Data Focus**:

- **Data Strategy and Innovation**: Strategize and initiate data projects that are in sync with our AI direction, focusing on enhancing our Virtual Lab and integrating data-driven approaches into our educational practices.

**Job Requirements**:

- **Experience**: 5-9 years in AI, Engineering, or Data-related roles.
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a preference for specializations in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Demonstrable experience with a range of Python libraries in AI and Data Manipulation domains, such as LlamaIndex, LangChain, Cohere, Transformers, Pytorch, Tensorflow, Jax, NumPy, Keras etc. Practical knowledge of vector databases like Chroma or FAISS is valued.
- **Leadership and Soft Skills**: Strong leadership skills with the ability to independently manage projects and lead a team of Full-stack and DevOps professionals. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.
