Keppel Enterprise Finhub Pte Ltd is the financial reporting Centre of Excellence (COE) for Keppel Group. This role resides in Record-to-Report department and you will be playing a critical role in ensuring the one source of truth of the financial reporting of Keppel Business Units financial data.
The intern will be responsible in the following:
- Timely closing of accounts and preparation of audit schedules (Tier 4 entities).- Preparation of financial schedules, statutory accounts and ensuring quality of accounts meets the agreed service levels (Tier 4 entities).- Preparation of month-end journals in accordance with established processes, work procedures and local legal and statutory requirements (tier 4 entities).- Perform reconciliation of monthly audit schedules, intercompany and bank transactions.- Management of fixed assets including capitalisation, disposals, and valuations.- Preparation and filing of financial statements in XBRL format.- Support external and internal audit, tax reporting and other statutory requirements.- Participate in process improvement projects.- Ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisor.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the financial reporting process including how the various sub-ledgers are closed in various stages in the entire closing process.- Gain deep understanding of the general ledger and how it works, including how to manage accounts, maintain records and prepare financial reports.- Learn how to prepare journal entries including those related to accruals and other types of adjustments and classification of expenses by nature.- Develop understanding on how to perform account and bank reconciliations which includes comparing different sets of data to ensure they match and are accurate.- Gain proficiency in SAP accounting software and Excel.
JOB REQUIREMENTS- Currently studying in accounting-related field or equivalent.-
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.- Able to multi-task, meticulous and a good team player.- Self-driven and able to work under pressure.- SAP knowledge/exposure will be advantageous.
