The Chef de Partie - Pantry is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the Pantry section, specializing in the creation of desserts and pastries. This role also provides support to other kitchen sections eg Chinese & Western cooking as needed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Pantry Management**: Oversee all aspects of the Pantry section, including preparation, production, and presentation of desserts, pastries, and other pantry items. This includes developing and executing special dessert creations.
- **Banquet and Buffet Support**: Assist in the preparation and plating of dishes for Chinese banquets and buffets.
- **Cross-Section Support**: Provide support to both Western and Chinese kitchen sections as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
- **Food Safety and Storage**: Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of all food items within the Pantry section. Maintain meticulous records and adhere to all food safety regulations. This includes clearing and properly storing all food, surpluses, and other items under supervision after each operation.
- **Cleanliness and Maintenance**: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the Pantry and surrounding kitchen areas. Ensure a safe and organized work environment.
- **Procurement and Maintenance**: Issue job requisitions/orders for necessary ingredients and supplies. Submit repair orders for maintenance of equipment and facilities within the Pantry section.
- **Teamwork and Communication**: Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff and communicate clearly with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef regarding inventory, production needs, and any challenges encountered.

**Qualifications**:

- Culinary degree/certificate and or equivalent experience. Food Hygiene certificate is mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with proven experience as a Chef de Partie, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Strong pastry and dessert skills, knowledge of Chinese and Western cuisine

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $2,200.00 - $2,800.00 per month
