**Location***:

HIGHLIGHTS
- This is an Operations position responsible for managing the activities associated with Delivery and Custom Compliance.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to expense and revenue management, compliance with government regulations, management and direction to delivery staff and safety and security of the delivery department.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all delivery and backhaul activities.
- Drive key performance indicators for cost savings.
- Efficiently utilize manpower via proper scheduling and training to provide the highest levels of customer service. This position has additional duties; special projects may be assigned.
- Assures Delivery Associate compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Manages labour hours, travel, fuel, and consumable supplies within budget, maximising time and cost efficiencies
- Oversees the proper selection, purchase, and utilisation of company assets in support of the Delivery department
- Communicates with Sales Management and Marketing Associates to collaboratively resolve any customer or delivery opportunities or issues
- Visits customer locations and meets with customers to address issues and assess delivery difficulty
- Hire, retain and coach the team

Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
- 5+ year’s experience with all facets of inbound/outbound transportation; knowledge of distribution systems, including routing and backhaul/transfer procedures
- 4+ years of accounting, planning, analytical, and/or reporting experience; ability to identify financial issues and provide cost-effective solutions
- Experience managing large numbers of driving staff; experience with hiring, training, and motivating teammates and resolving employee relations issues
- Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Access)
