**BUSINESS AREA -** **Singapore Marketing Company, Rare Disease Business Unit**
- AstraZeneca is accelerating the expansion of our geographical footprint in rare diseases following the acquisition of Alexion in 2021. Rare diseases is a high-growth therapy area with rapid innovation and significant unmet medical need. Over 7,000 rare diseases are known today - yet less than 1% of them have an approved treatment._
- As we begin to build our position as a Rare Disease leader, we seek a Strategic Account Manager to join our Rare Disease Business Unit in Singapore. The RD Strategic Account Manager will work closely with the Head of Rare Diseases Business Unit to deploy and adapt the AZ Rare Disease strategic account strategy to the local market, including tactics and execution._
**What you’ll do**
- Drive sales performance and forecast accuracy for assigned brands within AstraZeneca Rare Disease Portfolio
- Lead the development of accounts’ annual plan including strategy formulation, initiative prioritization, timeline and tracking, cross-functional communication, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Manage and monitor key accounts and develop strong relationships with key customers including but not limited to KOLs, treating physicians, nurses, hospital, and pharmacists, etc.
- Lead the establishment of Rare Disease Centres of Excellence/partnership to formulate innovative solutions for medical unmet needs on disease/brand specific patient journeys
- Shares insights and information to strengthen brand positioning, promotional efforts, access to treatment etc.
- Accountable for CRM Inputs, capturing the behaviour of HCPs and their responsiveness to digital interventions
- Leverage deep understanding of HCP preferences by segment and prescription history to provide guidance to marketing team for content design and relevant portfolio team members (e.g., medical manager)
- Drive new product launches for newly approved indications in the SG market with target HCPs, supported by relevant trial data
- Organize account focused events including participants from Singapore and other developed/new markets
- Leverage cross-functional expertise across AZ mobilizing agile operational processes
- Drive optimization of customer-facing interactions through participation in internal training programs focused on developing product/disease knowledge and soft skills
**Essential for the role**
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 5 years of sales / marketing / key accounts experience in pharmaceutical industry with at least 2 years in specialty portfolio
- Experience in leading cross-functional collaboration, especially with Medical Affairs, Market Access and able to work across different teams
- Comprehensive understanding of the development and commercialization of pharmaceutical products and healthcare environment
- Demonstrable strategic and tactical approach within specialty portfolio
- Strong focus on effective decision making and results
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
**Desirable for the role**
- Experience in Rare Disease, especially in the areas of Inherited Metabolic Disorders, Rare Blood Disorders etc.
- Sales leadership experience
- Ability to manage and drive portfolio (more than 1 brand)
