**Job Description Summary**: GE Aviation is a world’s leading manufacturer and servicer of jet and turboprop engines, components providing integrated systems for commercial, military, business and general aviation.

We are looking to hire an APAC Customs Operations Leader to our rapidly growing Business.

As the APAC Customs Operations Leader, you will be responsible for leading the region operations team of 2-4 team members, covering multiple countries. Management of Customs Brokers and Customs Vendors to assure for ~100,000 shipments annually execute to requirements and oversee ~ 20 GE sites export and import processes.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Operate within a global model and execute the strategy for Customs operations in the region
- Ensure the pre-declaration review is performed including confirmation that valuation, classification, country of origin and any applicable special program documentation is complete before an import or export occurs
- Work with approved agents to support daily customs clearances and own shipment issue resolution
- Ensure there are trained personnel supporting the Customs activities in the region
- Identify Customs risks areas and develop actionable plans and procedures to mitigate those risks
- Evaluate internal controls and drive implementation of recommended improvement plans
- Prepare periodic reports and metrics on duty, quality, savings, opportunities, risks, accomplishments and value creation
- Lead Regional Customs Councils
- Lead business level risk reviews and action plans for risk reduction
- Manage local Customs agency relationships
- Respond to Internal/External requests & investigations

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution
- 6-10 years of experience in customs processes
- Experience in leading a team
- Customs Broker License or on a country level equal to it.
- Fluent business English in written and spoken.
