**Job Overview**:
As a Junior Bartender, you will assist the bar team in preparing and serving beverages to customers, maintaining cleanliness at the bar, and ensuring a smooth, enjoyable experience for all guests. You will be trained in bartending basics, including drink preparation, customer service, and maintaining the bar's operation standards. This is an entry-level role ideal for individuals looking to grow within the hospitality industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Drink Preparation & Service**:Assist in preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
Handle basic cocktail mixing, pouring beer, wine, and other drinks under the supervision of the Head Bartender or Senior Bartender.
Maintain the bar station, ensuring it is fully stocked with necessary beverages, garnishes, and tools.
Ensure all drinks are prepared and served in a professional and timely manner.
- **Customer Interaction**:Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, welcoming manner.
Take drink orders from customers at the bar and serve them promptly.
Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring guests’ needs are met and providing a positive experience.
Answer questions about drink options, cocktail ingredients, and drink specials.
- **Bar Maintenance & Cleanliness**:Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring workspaces are clean and sanitized.
Clean bar tools, utensils, glassware, and countertops after each use.
Dispose of trash and recyclables, ensuring that the bar area remains clutter-free.
Stock and replenish bar supplies such as alcohol, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and napkins.
- **Inventory Management**:Assist in inventory tracking, including stock levels of beverages, mixers, and bar supplies.
Alert the Bar Manager or Supervisor when supplies need replenishment.
Help in rotating stock to ensure freshness of ingredients and beverages.
- **Support Senior Bartenders**:Assist senior bartenders with more complex drink orders or tasks when required.
Learn the art of cocktail making and bar techniques through on-the-job training.
Follow instructions and maintain high standards of drink preparation and presentation.
- **Adherence to Safety & Legal Standards**:Ensure that all alcohol service complies with legal drinking age regulations and local laws.
Monitor guest consumption and provide responsible service of alcohol.
Follow health and safety protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation, and safe serving practices.
- **Team Collaboration**:Work closely with other bar staff, waitstaff, and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth, efficient service.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the bar.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a customer service role or bar-related work (preferred but not required).
- A passion for learning about cocktails, spirits, and the bar industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- A friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and giving change.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and carry trays.
- Knowledge of alcohol laws and responsible serving practices (or willingness to learn).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
