Senior Director Legal, Asia Pacific

QIAGEN is seeking a highly motivated Senior Legal Director, APAC to join the legal team. As legal head for APAC region, you will work closely together with our leadership teams in different regions and prevent and address the legal and compliance risks by building up robust legal and compliance programs and providing professional and practical advice. You will work intensely on various legal and compliance matters in different regions. But Greater China may still be among your priorities given its strategic importance and complex legal/compliance environment.
**Main Responsibilities include
- Draft, negotiate and advise on strategic agreements;
- Provide practical and robust advice on different mattes of various regions;
- Drive the continued development, implementation and monitoring of legal and compliance programs to ensure compliance with laws/regulations and proper internal controls in place;
- Develop and deliver trainings (both online and offline) to educate employees and distributors on various legal and compliance topics;
- Advise and work on merger and acquisition projects;
- Work closely with management teams of different regions in Asia Pacific and prioritize capacity and resources in alignment with the strategic initiatives and robust risk management;
- Build up and develop an effective legal team to support the business and operation;
- Monitor legal developments, enforcement and compliance requirement trends and calibrate legal and compliance program accordingly;
- Lead internal investigations and advise company on internal investigations findings and appropriate remedial action to be taken based on the findings;
- Manage litigations/arbitrations, government investigations and external law firms; and
- Manage corporate matters for affiliates and branches in different regions.
