***You will be the regional Treasury Director for the Asia Pacific region (Including China / HK) of Brenntag with a reporting line to the Senior Vice President Group Treasury (based in Essen, Germany). You will have [3] staff reporting to you with teams in India and China. Singapore is the treasury hub for the region.

This role will also maintain effective partnerships with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders, and drive efficiencies to build a best in class treasury function. This role is also part of a wider global treasury team who work together to build a better service and relationship throughout the company.

You will have exposure to a wide variety of treasury areas, with a focus on Cash Management and Foreign Exchange (FX) risk management and will be responsible for driving both global and regional treasury initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Responsible for Cash Management in the region - incl. cash repatriation tasks.
- Manage the Bank facilities of the region, and ensuring the Group has the right instrument to support the local business needs and has full transparency on its cash situation.
- Manage the foreign exchange exposure across multiple currencies within the region: Contact point and advisor to internal stakeholders / execute hedges with banks and monitor hedging activity in the region
- Initiate and maintain banking relationships: Facilitate bank on-boarding, KYC requirements and periodic reviews
- Provide Treasury support to all Group subsidiaries in the region
- The ability to use multiple banking software to access reports and initiate and/or approve bank transactions.
- Ensure region-wide compliance to Group Treasury Policies
- Strengthen the treasury function within the Group and support the ongoing transformation towards a more functional driven organization
- Maintain and propose enhancements to the Treasury Management System (TMS) and increase TMS usage within the region
- Working closely with the local business leaders and sales teams on financing, customer needs and financial instrument requirements.
- Manage people in the team and support a multi-cultural team across the region.
- Support other functions within the CFO organization on acquisitions, divestitures and special projects.
- Work in a highly collaborative, team environment within a multi-cultural environment.
- Special Projects: implementation and rollout of a group wide payment and bank connection platform

**YOUR PROFILE**:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar related fields.
- Minimum 7 years Treasury experiences in a global company with complex cash and FX activities.
- Strong Treasury knowledge - in particular, FX, liquidity and cash management.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills of working with large amount of data and using tools to generate business insights.
- Experience in implementing technology-based Treasury solutions.
- Can identify, influence and implement opportunities to make existing processes more efficient and enable new capabilities.
- Work independently with strong communication skills, responsible and pay attention to the details and respect the deadline.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and urgency; a problem-solver who takes initiative and able to prioritize and execute tasks.
- Managerial team leadership experience and project management experience in an international environment.
- Team player with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in English; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
- Excellent IT skills and willingness to use new tools.
