Operations Manager

**Summary**
Reporting to Head of Operations at CNC, you will be working closely and communicating promptly with various stakeholders internally to ensure smooth and timely liner operations, optimizing efficiency and profitability for your assigned services. As an expert, you will be supervising and providing guidance to a team of ship planners and/or operations assistants. In your course of work, you are to adhere strictly to the Joint Working Procedure (JWP) and follow international and local regulations.

**Main Responsibilities**:
- Ensure vessels’ schedules are managed and optimized
- Manage proforma and/or structural schedule both for contingency and permanent adjustments
- Prompt communication with internal and external stakeholders (Commercial, Vessel and terminals) on optimal schedule
- Assist in developing strategic plans for schedule reliability with the Line/Regions
- Establish communication with the line and business concerning extra costs incurred such as Fuel Oil consumption, restows, Vessels re-deployment, surveys
- Keep track on off hires or schedule related impacts (such as vessel stoppages, breakdowns)
- Support the Master in vessel operation, emergency and provide assistance to Marine Crisis Management Team
- Proactive communication with ship Master, Centre Planner, Cargo team and Front-Line Marine teams to establish Marine Operational goals and objectives.
- Identify trends, process improvements on ship safety and operational need and propose process solutions on bunker saving
- Keep abreast to Fleet Control KPIs in terms of Schedule reliability & optimized bunker consumption
- Prepare reports for weekly meetings related to vessels schedules, costs incurred, etc
- To excel well in this role, you must possess strong and proactive communication and the ability to respond promptly and professionally in stressful or demanding situations.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Degree from recognised education institute and/or relevant sea-faring experience on-board container ships
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in container shipping operations, such as liner operations, stowage planning, scheduling
- Strong knowledge in container ships operations (marine / vessels operations) as well as understanding of bunkering and chartering
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite and Excel is required
