Responsible for fruits purchasing, sourcing, price comparisons and commercial negotiations.
- Execute on the business plan that includes identifying product range options, negotiating prices and terms with suppliers, adequate stocking of product range, develop seasonal promotion schemes and implement customer incentive programs.
- Prospect suppliers from the region, understand spot/ short buys and quickly source products to assist the business to achieve monthly targets.
- Liaise with supply chain, marketing, operations and finance to execute plans within budget.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the e-commerce industry, the competitive environment and cultivate strong relationships with vendors in the category.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on business requirements.
- Diploma in Material Management/Business Studies/Management or equivalent.
- Preferable 3 years experience within a Merchandising / Buying function in fresh fruits.
- Intermediate to advanced level of skill in Microsoft Excel.
- Proven negotiation skills across a wide supplier base.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity.
