Global Trade and Receivables Finance comprises over 4,500 people across more than 60 countries, helping suppliers and buyers with their export and import finance needs. Trade is where HSBC began in 1865, when we financed commerce between Europe, North America and Asia.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Senior Business Development Manager - Global Trade and Receivables Finance.**

**Principal Responsibilities**

The Business Development role is responsible for generating new business and for initiating and managing business development initiatives.

The responsibilities of this role will include most of the following:

- Supporting tasks to establish new business relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for all types of customers
- Providing support to the communication new products, propositions and relevant market information to customers
- Supporting distribution channel business development strategies
- Supporting plans and strategies to generate new business as well as increase revenue for existing ones
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, which may include relationship mangers and product specialists, to maximise cross-selling opportunities for the bank
- Participating in events, initiatives and activities to develop business opportunities
- Protect the bank's reputation and ensuring an acceptable risk profile, whilst deepening your understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviews

Requirements

**Requirements**:

- University degree holder
- 7-10 years of banking experience
- Knowledge of Financial Institutions and Trade & Receivables Finance is preferable
- Knowledge of global trade finance, services and products is preferable
- Understanding of FI market in Singapore
- Strong sales, interpersonal, communications, negotiation and decision making skills
- Strong commercial orientation combined with a customer driven approach
- High degree of self-motivation and attention to detail
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders both in Singapore and the region
- Awareness of the applicable local and regional regulatory and lending practices including audit, tax and legal issues
