Technology Officer

SCOPE OF ROLE - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

**Pre-sales delivery**
- Preparation of major project, services and consultancy specifications with pre-sales team for timely delivery of required proposals, Providing help for Tender and related documentation support to the teams in the technical area of the company including and not limited to Broadcast, Media, OTT, Telecom and Infrastructure

**Design delivery**
- Mentoring and providing direction to the Solutions team for detailed preparation of solution designs as per the required format, details and scope for the company. Need to keep up-to-date with the latest trends and progress in the Broadcast, Media and Telco products and effectively communicating to the teams across company to keep up with the trend.

Service delivery
- Monitoring and keeping excellent service to customers by keeping communication efficiently across vendors, internal teams and customers. Keeping in touch with major customers and providing an approachable environment to keep effective communication.

SCOPE OF ROLE - KEY METRICS

**Direct reports**:Pre-sales and solution team Managers

**Indirect reports**:Service Managers

**Recruitment**:Have direct responsibility for recruitment of technology team across the board for the company.

**3rd Party Relationships**:Responsible directly for contractors and vendors

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

**Essential**:

- Engineering qualification with additional degree as Master of Business Administration.
- A minimum of 25 years of experience in the field of Broadcast and Media
- Experience as technology lead or head in broadcast/IT systems in a live TV, Radio or multi-media environment
- Should have spent few years in software development of Broadcast related products
- Experience with design and delivery of technology platforms such as News rooms, studios, DTT, DTH, Automation, IT and RF platforms.
- Considerable experience in leading team of qualified engineers in technology platforms and mentoring them.
- Excellent communicator who can use a range of styles, tools and techniques to explain technology platforms to a wide range of people including customers and public platforms
- Experience in working with Third Party Suppliers, providing excellent communication support and be the face of the company in technical discussions
- Experience of providing high quality input in demanding customer service environment
- Excellent customer skills with the ability to identify a customer’s requirements and to recognise whether these can be met effectively from the resources, timescales skills with good time management practices
- Experience in managing conflicting demands in situations of pressure where priorities are rapidly changing
- Proven track record of delivered services to large Broadcasters and leading System Integrators consistently over few years in the order of 1M USD each year
- Knowledge of best practice frameworks based on ITIL or Service Management principles (including Change, Configuration and Release) and how/why they can be applied
- Able to prepare and train teams on all aspects of Health and Safety, including electrical safety within broadcast environment
- Having worked across multiple regions North Africa to South East Asia and showcase track record of large customer handling across these regions.
- Travel will be essential, range from 2-3 weeks a month across the region.
