You will be working on Statutory Function projects as an Intern under the National Library division.
[What you will be working on]
- Participate in the selection of the contributed heritage materials and add them into the collection of the National Library Singapore.
- Research and write for heritage materials in the collection (e.g. orphan works found in the Legal Deposit).
- Counter duties in the library, including weekends.
- Conceptualise ways to engage public to contribute heritage materials (such as social media accounts, websites, photos, videos and others), including simple design works.
- Any other ad-hoc projects/works associated with Statutory Function’s areas of works such as Web Archiving, Legal Deposit and others.
[What we are looking for]
- Background in a Humanities or Social Sciences related discipline preferred.
- Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Good communication and writing skills.
- Working knowledge of digital content and online platforms.
- Able to work independently and in teams.
- Interest in digital preservation, collection work, research and writing, and contemporary Singapore history.
