What you will be working on Perform metadata management using open-source tools such as MARCedit, OpenRefine as well as Excel and other tools, combined with scripting, to ensure cataloguing standards are adhered to and discovery is optimised. Contribute to AI and machine learning initiatives to improve metadata and enhance processes, including use cases, requirements and data preparation. Provide support to review discovery websites & services for effectiveness and assist in the development and maintenance of existing and new discovery services. Analyse information requirements relating to digital library services and assist with documentation of specifications to meet those needs. What we are looking for Able to read and write in English and one mother tongue language (Chinese or Malay or Tamil). Familiarity with scripting languages. Python is preferred. Strong numerical ability and interest working with data is essential. Knowledge of natural language processing and machine learning techniques. Knowledge of cataloguing and metadata standards including MARC and Dublin Core, and data interchange formats such as XML and JSON would be advantageous. Ability to work in a collaborative environment with colleagues, management, and partners.
