- Background in one or more of the following: Cloud Architecture, Software Development, Embedded Systems, Systems Design.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Specialist Solutions Architect to join our Solution Architect Innovation Lab, where you can scale your cloud computer skills and expertise.

This is a unique opportunity for driven, self-starters to play a role in a fast-growing business and to deliver significant value to AWS customers. You will have the support to grow your expertise in industry and technology areas of depth. Every day you will be learning something new from your customers, your peers and your own experiments.

Key job responsibilities
- Build a strong foundation of knowledge around AWS cloud services and the cloud ecosystem.
- Work with customers to explore their business issues and understand how AWS services can help address and resolve these issues.
- Educate customers on the AWS value proposition and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
- Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers, presentations, demos, and reference architectures.
- Capture best practices from your customer engagements and share across the AWS Solutions Architect community.
- Provide consulting support to the customer and Customer service teams, drive complex interactions between the customers, AWS service teams, Customer teams, and third-party partners.
- Create or otherwise contribute to business cases for Customer projects.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the customer and a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and partners.

About the team
- Experience working in a customer-facing role.
- Have worked in technical teams and have relevant software delivery skills.
- Proficiency in a programming language like C, C++, Java, Node.js, Python.
- AWS certification (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional) or other cloud industry certification.
