**Job Description**:

- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations and internal controls in the department. Responsible for the actions of all employees in Accounting team and the conduct of the business under Accounting purview.
- Maintain the accuracy and completeness of the Branch’s books and records. Review and investigate daily exception reports from general ledger and sub-systems.
- Daily MAS regulatory ratio monitoring, reporting and projection.
- Ensure financial reporting adheres to Bank’s accounting policies and procedures and compliance with Head Office, local statutory and MAS regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for timely delivery of management, financial and regulatory reporting and statistical surveys.
- Preparation of monthly forecast and annual budget.
- Oversee the payment and claims processing function including cost allocations rules, entry postings and safekeeping of cheque books.
- Act as Approval supervisor for standing data maintenance and manual (DV) voucher in core banking and accounting systems.
- Ensure the acquisitions and disposals of fixed assets are properly approved and recorded, depreciation is correctly charged against individual fixed assets and properly accounted for in accordance with Head Office policy.
- Ensure all bank account reconciliations are accurately and promptly done and that all unreconciled items are immediately followed up.
- Liaise with external auditors to arrange external auditor’s appointment, statutory audit and annual financial statements.
- Prepare tax schedules, verify tax computations, and liaise with tax agents on Branch’s corporate tax. Attend to queries raised by the Comptroller of Income Tax.
- Review and enhancement of workflows and internal controls, maintain accounting procedures manual. Responsible for managing the financial resources and financial reporting processes of the Bank.
- Attend and provide relevant accounting information in Risk and ALM Committee meeting and new product committee meeting.
- Any other duties as delegated by the Senior Management.

**Requirements**:

- Degree holder possess min 10 years of accounting experience in banking;
- Well versed in MAS regulatory legislation and reporting as well as taxes;
- High involvement in new MAS reporting regulation and implementation.
- Proven leadership and people management skills with a high level of commitment and enthusiasm
