This is a new role within the firm, and we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Accounting to join our management team. You will play a crucial role in driving the firm's growth and success while ensuring the delivery of exceptional financial services to our clients. This position requires strong technical expertise in accounting and tax, exceptional business acumen, and a proven track record in client relationship management.

**Responsibilities**:
**Team Leadership**:

- Lead and mentor the accounting team.
- Provide guidance, support professional development, and foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements and tax computations, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with the relevant standards and regulations.
- Manage the team in ensuring provision of quality work to clients within deadlines.
- Evaluate the performance of the staff.
- Regular training provided to the team to improve staff’s technical knowledge and capabilities.

**Client Management and Advisory**:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, and providing strategic advice to help them as their business grow.
- Act as a trusted advisor, offering insights and solutions on matters pertaining to accounting and tax.
- Active communication with clients to maintain and grow relationships.

**Strategic Planning and Business Development**:

- Formulate and work on strategies to increase the Firm’s capabilities, efficiencies and compliance
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks effectively.
- Identify potential clients and expand the firm's client base.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting. A Chartered Accountant qualification is highly desirable.
- More than 10 years of experience, of which at least 5 years is in a senior managerial role, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role. Experience working in an audit or accounting firm is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, companies act, financial planning, and analysis.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to interpret financial data to drive strategic decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial analysis tools.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
