**Job Summary**:
We are expanding our molecular test panels. Hence, we are recruiting medical technologist with good molecular understand and technic. Medical Technologist is responsible to perform laboratory testing and maintenance of daily operations in the molecular laboratory so as to achieve smooth running of a quality laboratory service at all times.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- To prepare specimens and perform analysis of patient specimens according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Perform molecular-based assays and tasks across a number of varying tests including, but not limited to, GastroClear, APEX, LungClear.
- Maintain daily quality control, calibration and routine maintenance of lab testing and lab instrument
- Verify the laboratory report with results on all performed tests and ensure accuracy and timely lab reporting.
- Participate in External Quality Assurance program as well as tests validation
- Any other duties as assigned by Lab Manager

**Desired Skills and Competencies**
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical science, Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1-3 years clinical laboratory experience preferred
- Good general health and no colour blindness_*_
- Demonstrated work experience in medical technology lab setting, preferably molecular diagnostic
- Keen interest to learn and genuine passion in molecular biology laboratory environment
- Strong team player with positive work attitude, analytical minded, result-oriented, good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to perform shift working hours.
- Colour-blindness is the inability to perceive differences between some colour that other people can distinguish. Using a literature search, the results indicate the prevalence of colour vision deficiency in the medical profession and medical laboratory skills. It would be a wide range of difficulties by colour blinded employees in their practice of laboratory diagnosis and techniques with a potentially of errors._
