
Director, Technical Operations, Central Service Area

**Duties**:
The Director, Technical Operations, Central Service Area provides advice, guidance, and oversight to the Central Service Area (CSA) Leadership Teams regarding the management of air navigation services and infrastructure services and is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and modification of all infrastructure systems and equipment in the National Airspace System (NAS).
The Director oversees and has authority over approximately 2,400 personnel, including 41 senior managers, and administers a budget of approximately $85M.
**Principal Responsibilities**
- Oversees the development of programs and standards associated with technical operations services within the CSA to include the delivery of maintenance services, construction services, communication services, assets and policies, financial management, performance metrics, National Defense Program assets, and overall navigation services including procurement, charting procedures, and flight inspection in support of the NAS.
- Implements national policies, procedures, and practices associated with technical operations services within the CSA.
- Directs the installation, maintenance, and restoration of all systems and equipment in the NAS within the assigned CSA.
- Allocates resources, staffing, and programs to support the mission, improve service value, and achieve performance targets.
- Exercises delegated authority to make commitments on behalf of Technical Operations Services and represents the FAA in meetings and forums.

**Qualifications**:
As a basic requirement for entry into the FAA Executive System, you must clearly articulate and describe within your **five** **(**5**) p**a**g**e**resume**evidence of progressively responsible leadership experience that is indicative of senior executive level management capability; and that is directly related to the skills and abilities outlined under the Leadership and Technical Requirements listed below.
