A Director in Consulting is an experienced thought leader in the biopharmaceutical industry and a trusted advisor to clients with accountability for project management, team leadership, and business development. Viewed as a key leader within the Consulting business, a Director drives meaningful commercial success by securing profitable business, actively harvesting accounts, creating leads, and ensuring accurate project forecasting and pricing.
- Builds positive working relationships with clients, consulting staff, managers, leadership, and internal support teams.
- Achieves commercial success by actively harvesting accounts and creating leads at new accounts, soliciting support from other business units to close deals, and securing profitable business.
- Develops and leads, independently, a large client book of business.
- Achieves billable utilization, led book of business, and sales targets, while collaborating with others to attain overall business objectives and metrics.
- Validates accurate project forecasting and pricing to avoid losses.
- Ensures reasonable level of billability for project team members. Oversees project budgets accordingly such that there is room for senior billed time.
Supports the development of a growing and healthy Advisory Group and overall Consulting business unit, above and beyond individual contributions of sales and book of business.
- Leads and develops client relationships and ensures the delivery of well-structured projects that exceed client expectations. Is personally responsible for the design, efficiency, and outcomes related to client projects. Takes accountability for issues that may arise and rectifies those issues. Delivers projects on time and on budget.
- Acts as the SME in Customer & Digital Engagement and Advanced Data & Analytics space; defines and builds relevant consulting solutions in this expertise based on deep understanding of industry trends, client needs, and Syneos Health capabilities.
- Collaborates with Digital Solutions team (Deployment Solutions) in client development and project delivery where relevant.

**Qualifications**

**What we're looking for**
- MBA or a graduate degree in a life sciences or technology field required
- Fluent level English required
- 10+ years of leadership in strategy consulting or relevant leadership role in digital space the life science industry
- Expertise in any digital field required (advanced data & analytics, omnichannel, etc.)
- Independent seller, A strong history of successfully selling, delivering and growing consulting revenues
- Recent experience working with large national and global pharmaceutical / biotech accounts
- Demonstrated track record of successful life science consulting practice building
- Able to build relationships with key client decision makers
- Experience across both promotional and non-promotional commercialization activities
- Demonstrated competency in building high performing, customer-focused consulting teams
- Highly strategic with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated initiative, uncompromised integrity and a results-oriented mindset
