Terrorism and Political Violence Lead, Asia Pacific

**Key Objective**:
Support our regional and in-country success through partnership with Property and Terrorism leadership in identifying, developing, and executing on the Terrorism strategy for the region.
Take responsibility for account-level and portfolio-level implementation becoming a valuable resource for the local teams in their success.
**Major Duties and Responsibilities**:
Position will be responsible for the following activities:
- Be a go-to Terrorism leader for our broker across Asia Pacific.
- Work as an invaluable, senior member of the regional Property and Terrorism team, delivering profitable growth.
- Hold a high-level of underwriting authority and act as referral point for Terrorism accounts that are outside in-country authority. Assist in obtaining approval from authority-holders outside the region when necessary.
- Take a hands-on approach for high-profile and high-complexity opportunities, helping lead the in-country teams to an appropriate underwriting decision.
- Develop strong internal and external relationships, promoting our Terrorism expertise and helping drive increased engagement, improved relationships, and increased success.
- Act as a mentor to in-country Property underwriters, giving direction and training to aid in their development.
- Use data to supplement account-level and portfolio-level insights and actions. Promote the importance of data and data quality across the team.
- Develop and maintain relationships across the market, keeping up to date with developments that provide opportunities or threats.
- Assist regional Property leadership and international Terrorism leadership with portfolio management, pipeline management, underwriting guideline development/implementation, peer reviews, underwriting audits, product/wording development, process improvement, system development, etc.
As part of the regional Property team, work along-side international Property & Terrorism leadership, in-country Property teams, international, regional, and in-country management teams, other lines of business, Actuarial, Claims, Engineering, Cat Management, Segment leadership, etc.
**Skills & Experience**
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, especially in matrix reporting relationships.
- Strong interpersonal skills including verbal/written communication, relationship building and negotiation skills.
- High-level of Terrorism product knowledge with strong technical grasp of underwriting and pricing principles.
- Deep experience of underwriting, designing, and implementing multinational programs.
- Robust Asia Pacific retail market knowledge with regards to Terrorism.
- Confidence in problem solving and complex decision-making.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, working well under the pressure of deadlines.
- High portfolio management, financial and data analytic skills combined with excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills with a thorough attention to detail.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic goals and objectives, stimulating creativity and engagement.
- Experience in working with different Reinsurance structures.
