Smartkarma is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Analyst - ASEAN Private Markets to build ongoing research coverage across important venture capital
- and private equity-backed businesses and industries in ASEAN.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own overall responsibility for publishing high-impact research on venture capital
- and private equity-backed businesses and industries in ASEAN for institutional investors.
- Develop and implement research frameworks to provide independent commentary on ASEAN business and industry trends and opportunities.
- Oversee research pipelines, including management of networks of analysts and vendors.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, clients, and media to support primary research and thought leadership.

**Qualifications**
- 7+ years of experience in equity research, private equity and/or venture capital markets.
- Deep understanding of ASEAN private markets, key businesses and industries, including bridging the gap between private companies and public-market investors.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality research and investment insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience communicating with senior stakeholders and clients.
- Forward-looking tech and entrepreneurial mindset; comfort leveraging AI tools and alternative datasets to scale the unit while incorporating an owner mindset.
