The Country Head for Sterra Singapore sets overall direction for the operations, formulates strategic goals and drives organizational growth while aligning with the Company's strategies. He/ she identifies new business opportunities, champions the organization's service excellence aspirations and fosters strategic relationships with stakeholders. He/ she is also responsible for driving the organization's financial, innovation and productivity strategies based on the Company's overall direction.
He/ she operates in a rapidly transforming business environment where he/ she is accountable for the success of the entire operations. He/ she is a forward-thinking strategic leader with a strong business acumen, able to make calculated-risk decisions, constructive, analytical and performs effectively in a complex and difficult environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Establish and ensure a sense of organizational leadership, direction and governance.
- Oversee and ensure smooth operations of the business
- Planning, development and implementation of business and growth strategies
- Growing revenue through proactively seeking new business opportunities and partnerships
- Accountable for all operations and customer service - drive key workstreams including product, marketing, business development and operations.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to the senior management team, to keep them aware of developments within the industry and ensure that the appropriate policies are developed to meet the company’s mission and objectives and comply with all relevant statutory and other regulations
- Prepare, gain acceptance, and monitor the implementation of the financial targets to ensure that targets are met, that revenue flows are maximized and that fixed costs are minimized
- Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively
- Represent the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, and other key contacts to secure for it the most effective contract terms
- Develop and maintain an effective marketing and public relations strategy to promote the products, services, and image of the company in the wider community
- Develop and promote productivity and innovation culture in the country operations
- Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure business development and operations are aligned with the organization's goals
- Represent and promote the Sterra brand in alignment with Singapore HQ's marketing and branding message
- Develop strategic leadership networks with both internal and external stakeholders
- Any other duties and responsibilities as deemed fit by the management
**The job requires**
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the retail industry occupying a management position
- Minimum Degree in Business Management preferably major in Marketing, Operations Management, Supply-chain Management or Retail Management
- A proven record of success in senior level general or commercial management of people and resources.
- An understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with good command of English
- Must be able to articulate well to all stakeholders in the Company and external customers
**OTHER INFORMATION**:
- ** Location**: One North
- ** Working hours**: Monday - Friday, 9am to 6pm
- ** Salary**: Up till S$12,000
