Technical Program Manager, Strategic Initiatives

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Civil or Manufacturing Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in program and/or project management.

Preferred qualifications:

- MBA or Master's degree in Management Science, Operations, Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or other technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in design, construction, commission, and/or operation of large-scale mission critical facilities or data centers.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Lean manufacturing/construction, and/or Six Sigma.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to execute according to plan and deliver measurable results in a timely manner.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

The Accelerated Building Construction and Design (ABC&D) team assists Google Data Centers (GDC) to deliver compute capacity in a way that's faster, more repeatable, and proportionate to demand. We build tools, develop new processes, and provide insight to support GDCs transformation into a productized capacity delivery system. Our current focus areas include: Data Center (DC) lead time reduction, computer aided production engineering, stochastic simulation, innovation pipeline management, and parametric cost estimating.

As the Accelerated Technology Innovation (ATI) Strategic Initiatives Technical Program Manager, you will assist to identify, incubate, and implement transformational new approaches and technologies to deliver data center capacity.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, construction, finance, technology, operations, and other teams to identify and sharpen the business case(s) for various strategic initiatives.
- Develop comprehensive solutions to address business challenges and capture opportunities with project stakeholders, and align teams and executive leadership as to the way forward.
- Author implementation plans to realize the value of new approaches and technologies to deliver DC capacity, obtain resources to carry out those plans, drive execution with extended project teams, and document and communicate status to stakeholders.
