Job Posting Title AVP Network Relations **Job Description**: The Assistant Vice President Network Management is responsible for establishing a pharmacy provider network strategy as well as executing on all activities pertaining to developing and maintaining retail, specialty and home delivery pharmacy, and other provider relationships. This position is also accountable for ensuring that clients and members have accessible pharmacy providers under contract, either directly or through a leased network/vendor to deliver high quality pharmacy services at the lowest possible cost of care. **Responsibilities**: - Lead the strategic and tactical development, implementation, and execution of a provider network strategy that meets long-term market needs and optimizes client service and value - Oversee the network operationalization initiatives to ensure the networks are accurately set-up, and performance is meeting the client needs and delivering the expected value - Establish productive, partnering relationships with Independent Providers, Chain Providers, Pharmacy Associations and Drug Wholesalers and leased network vendors to drive cost effective networks - Determine and scope potential contracting opportunities including soliciting, negotiating, contracting, and maintaining a portfolio of retail pharmacy and specialty pharmacy provider networks that meet the diverse needs of our clients - Partner with Network Economics, Specialty, Integrated Rx & Innovations to maintain competitive pricing methodologies including Maximum Allowable Cost (MAC) list and Average Wholesale Price (AWP) alternatives - Consult, establish and implement cost effective and quality networks in collaborate with senior leaders across various functions, including Network Management, Operations, AMO, Client Engagement, Supply Chain Economics and Finance in support of both Prime’s and our client’s business needs - Oversee network regulatory compliance to ensure regulatory compliance of networks, contracts, contract lifecycle management, and other opportunities - Manage department budget, staffing, performance, and development, and consistently demonstrate Prime’s leadership expectations during interactions with direct reports, cross functional and external stakeholders - Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required - 12 years of work experience in contracting, specialty pharmacy, network management or PBM or related area, to include 5 years healthcare/PBM experience and at least 5 years of work experience in network management - 8 years of leadership/people management experience - Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship Additional Qualifications - Demonstrated ability to lead effective negotiations - Ability to analyze complex data and pose different strategic scenarios - Proven experience inspiring cross - functional teams to meet business objectives with outstanding results - Strong decision maker with the ability to determine action, execution, promote clear accountability, and focus towards achieving business objectives - Ability to establish trust, respect and credibility and form close working relationships across the organization - Demonstrated ability to distill complex concepts or situations into concise and compelling communications Preferred Qualifications - Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Law, or other related advance degree Minimum Physical Job Requirements - Ability to travel up to 10% of the time - Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear - Frequently required to reach with hands and arms - Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch - Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Reporting Structure - Reports to a Vice President in the Network Management department Potential pay for this position ranges from $159,200.00 - $254,200.00 based on location, experience and skills.
