
Hostel Executive

**About the Job**:
To be Rucksack Inn’s ambassador by providing an excellent and consistent level of service to the hostel’s guests and also contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the hostel’s operations. You will be reporting to the Front Office Senior Executive.
**Responsibilities
- Pre-Arrival: To go through arrival report and ensure bed(s)/room(s) assigned prior to checking in of guest on date of arrival
- Arrival: Ensure bed(s)/room(s) assigned, collect relevant documents (i.e., passports, identity card) and issue keys to room and locker
- Departure: Collect keys issued during arrival
- Post Departure: To check if guest left anything behind in the locker and room or on the bed
- Investigation: To deal with situations that happen in the hostel. Escalating to Senior Executive when needed
- Cashiering: Ensure that all cash transactions are well recorded, turned down and all cash tallies.
- Housekeeping: To assign housekeeper the rooms and/or beds to be clean for the next arrival. Maintaining cleanliness of reception and office by throwing away your own rubbish. For night shifters, to assist with clearing of rubbish during and end of shift as cleaners only start work at 11am.
- Ad-hoc Errands: Keep track of stocks needed for the front desk example printer ink, stationaries, paper for printer and credit card machine, maintaining cleanliness of the reception
