[6-months Fixed Term] Senior Underwriting

**Position Overview**
The Senior Underwriting & Claims Consultant will help regional and local Underwriting & Claims work at multiple levels (see below details in responsibilities).

Participate daily work like complex case review, training, and audit. Review the proposition of current solutions/tools/projects and provide advice. Assist technical development plan, management reports etc.

**Responsibilities**

**Underwriting**

Regional
- UW Operation
- Training - Identification of underwriting training opportunities and assistance in developing training programs to supplement Global UW training plans
- Audit - Participate in audits and provide strategic input in further development
- System - Assist in process documentation and training materials
- E-UW
- Help review e-UW strategy
- Provide input in comparison of different e-UW tools/solutions
- Participation in other strategic, operational, or cross functional projects, as required

Local markets
- Complicated UW Case review
- Client audit - Participate in 1 UW audit per quarter
- Training planner and presenter - 1 Industrial Seminar per quarter
- Assist underwriter’s development goals and execution plans
- Help review digital UW solutions
- Assess functionalities, review business propositions, and provide recommendations on how they might fit in with local business strategies
- Engage and manage all relevant stakeholders

**Claims**

Regional
- Assist in the preparation of management reports (for ARMC etc.)
- Organize training and sharing sessions for internal and external parties
- Identify gaps and develop internal guidelines on claims risk management for the region
- Assist in any internal projects as required

Local markets
- Complicated / litigation Claims review
- Client audit - Participate in 1 claims audit per quarter
- Training planner and presenter - 1 Industrial Seminar per quarter
- Design & produce regular monitoring reports
- Review of Claims structure and processes, provide suggested improvements
- Project CAB - Review and suggest how to use claims to create business opportunities, improve experience and/or increase clients’ stickiness to RGA

**Requirements** Education & Experience**

Required:

- Minimum 15 years’ experience in insurance/reinsurance
- Minimum 10 years of management role
- Experience in both UW and claims
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Preferred:

- 20+ years’ experience in UW or claims
- Experience in multinational companies and exposed to multiple markets
- Experience in both reinsurers and direct companies
- Experience in handling big projects
- FALU/DLDU or other industry qualifications an asset
- Strong foundation and understanding of RGA’s underwriting philosophy
