**Contexte et environnement***:

- Commercial and political involvement - internationally - in the daily management of files.
- The jobholder is very much in demand in a continuous way throughout the year, both internally (Trading /Shipping) and externally (including public holiday and weekends).
- Interface and internal coordination between all involved departments (Trading, Treasury, Credit, Financial Control, Accounting, Shipping, Vetting, Demurrage).
- Handle potential conflicts of interests between the parties (terminals /customers /suppliers /Trading /Shipping).

**Activités***:

- The jobholder reports to the Manager, Trading Operations Crude of the Singapore office and works in liaison with the trading operations in Geneva, under the local supervision of the Trading Operations General Manager of Singapore office.**Job Dimension**
- International activity area on a definite geographical zone, in a team of 3 trading operators, within which the jobholder is the main contact between counterparts and the Company for contracts execution.

**Activities**
- In the frame of internal procedures, formalise the Trading negotiations by drafting and sending of commercial contracts, having controlled the coherence and the feasibility of the negotiated issues. It implies a good knowledge of legal, financial and operational terms governing this type of contract.
- Evaluate /estimate all the costs derived from a transaction and communicating all operational data having a financial impact on Trading results (prices, hedges, freight, currency).
- Guarantee a satisfactory management of storage and processing contracts (quantities /qualities /financial exposure).
- Coordinate logistics of all loadings /unloadings by sea and/or overland and avoid /minimise the various hazards /mishaps, to declare the cargo war risks exposure to our Insurance broker.
- Liaising with Exploration & Production entities to secure and optimise marketing of TotalEnergies crude equities from Gulf area and Australia. Interactions with the Operating Companies.
- Follow up on the vessels chartered by the Company (spot, COA or T/C) and optimise, in connection with Trading and Shipping, the rotations and loading plans.
- Ensure that the vetting procedures for seagoing vessels and barges are adhered to (Group rule CR-GR-HSE-416).
- Nominate the service providers essential to the realisation of the contracts (independent inspectors /agents) and control the accuracy and consistency of the obtained results.
- Obtain financial guarantees from counterparts, control and/or amend them before cargo loading /unloading, in close collaboration with the Credit department.
- Identify the cause for the encountered operational problems and activate the procedures necessary to their solution in coordination with all involved stakeholders (immediate superior /Trading /Legal /insurers /etc), at mínimal costs and consequences to the Company.
- Liaise with Loss Control to handle quantitative and qualitative issues.
- Invoice customers and pay our suppliers /service providers invoices.
- Secure, in coordination with Financial Departments (Treasury, Credit, Financial Control, Accounting), the recovery of funds due (invoice late payment interest).
- Collaborate to optimize the working capital requirements.

**Objectives**
- Ensures proper execution of contracts.
- Responsible for resorting to all required means to achieve the result anticipated by Trading, always in strict compliance with Trading & Shipping and Company procedures and rules. The jobholder is autonomous in his/her decisions and has entire responsibility of operational means.
- Within the framework of customers relationships and given the financial and political stakes, the jobholder optimises the logistic and commercial flows allowing the complete satisfaction of customers.
- Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of 6 years of solid experience in crude trading operations would be a plus.
- Specific knowledge of Trading and Shipping Credit procedures.
- Rigourous, curious, reactive, commercially minded and resourceful.
- Strong ability to anticipate and mitigate risks and take initiatives in proposing alternative solutions to issues.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, keen attention to details.
- High capacity to work with limited supervision.
- Team player with strong initiative.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin. Knowledge of French a plus.
- Well-versed with Chinese crude teapots and Middle East /West Africa /Brazil crude supply markets.
