As part of the Changi East Safety function, you will join the on-site duty team to conduct oversight checks and inspections to ensure that construction works or activities related to the Changi East Development adhere to aerodrome safety, workplace safety & health (WSH) and site operations compliance and requirements.

You will need to liaise with various stakeholders within CAG, as well as main contractors, consultants, representatives from the airport community and relevant authorities such as the Ministry of Manpower and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. You will respond to and play a key role in handling any incidents and/or accidents that occur at the site with relevant stakeholders, and also manage the investigation process.

As this role contributes to the safety oversight for Changi East Development construction activities on a 24/7 basis, you would be required to perform shift duties. This role will also require you to supervise a team of safety professionals and operation executives to ensure that construction activities within the aerodrome and the site are carried out safely and site-related operations function according to contractual obligations and comply with regulatory and CAG’s requirements.

Job Requirements:

- Degree/Diploma in any disciple preferably in Engineering or Workplace Safety & Health
- At least 5 years' of relevant experience in related industry
- Registered as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer
- Must be able to perform shift duties
- Knowledge of construction safety is an advantage
- Has strong analytical and quick decision making ability and report writing skills
- Good communication skills including good report writing
- Able to share/present key ideas effectively and translate them into actionable outcomes
- Experienced managing a team and also a strong team player
- This is a 3-year contract position
