Finance Manager, Quality Assurance

About the role

The Finance Manager/Senior Finance Manager leads the best practice in Finance and Accounting functions, ensuring the Group management and financial and tax reporting Shared Services Center (“SSC”) operations are operating at its optimal with its QA review and continuous improvements are implemented to address any gaps or improve the robustness of SSC operations and maintaining a robust internal control framework. At this initial stage, you will be a sole contributor and work alongside the Financial Controllers, SSC Finance Leads and BU Finance Leads to do the review and implement changes. This is a key position in the Group, assisting the CFO in all finance operations and compliance aspects.

Key Responsibilities
- Review monthly SSC SLA KPIs to identify any gaps and improvement areas to improve the finance operations, including AP (procure-to-pay), AR (order to cash) and GL (records to reports) processes review
- Establish a framework of local regulatory and legal requirements in respect of finance operations for compliance purposes, for eg. PCI for credit card processing
- Monthly review of balance sheets and their supporting schedules and investigation into any abnormalities
- Monitor the working capital projections of BUs against the budget plan and outline shortfall for BU CEOs to adjust direction for AR collections and AP payments to fit the working capital constraints, if any
- Review Netsuite ERP processes in relation to all finance related business processes to outline potential gaps to be addressed by SSC and BU
- Manage Group insurance portfolio, as part of the risk management framework
- Manage Group recharges bases and ensures actual as per budget
- Oversee tax compliance especially transfer pricing and all sales tax, GST, corporate tax and other USA related taxes (where applicable) are accounted for by the SSC team in line with the advice from our external tax agent(s)

Required Skills and Experience
- Chartered Accountant or CPA with an accounting degree
- At least 10 years of experience in a Senior Finance Manager role, preferably with experience in commercial B2B, distribution, and technology solutions industry
- At least 3 years of experience in a Finance Business Partner role with strong FP&A exposure
- Good knowledge of accounting, group consolidation, and investments
- Good knowledge of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports utilized in SSC for statutory/financial and management reporting
- Good knowledge of drivers of cash flow management to manage BU working capital
- Experience in using a widely recognized accounting package such as NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks, SAP or Oracle
- Ability to handle multi-business setup with different business models and multiple stakeholders
- Able to work with cross-functional teams in managing different projects
- Experience in global markets
- APAC, EMEA, and North and South America
- Previous experience in group reporting, including handling the audit of reporting package
- People management experience would be a plus
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
