Data Science & AI Department, under the Tech Division, lead the transformation of Rakuten by the commercialization of Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Computing, and Machine Intelligence Technologies for Rakuten businesses.

With access to Rakuten’s ecosystem of more than 70 services, global businesses, and technology expertise across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, the AI Solutions Incubation Section goal is to ideate, develop and provide transformative AI products in the fields of Commerce, Financial Services, Marketing, and other Rakuten focus areas. AI Solutions Incubation Section accelerates the adoption and impact of AI/ML technologies via utilizing billions of consumer and industry data points accumulated within Rakuten’s ecosystem.

**Scope**:

- Directs a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life.
- Functions as a central resource with design, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing and distribution as the product(s) move through their lifecycle.
- Directs those involved in the design, modification and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products.
- Formulates and executes long-term plans for cost/profit control.
- Promotes use of new technologies and industry-leading trends.
- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
**Responsibilities**:

- Manages Conversational AI related products/ services management roadmap
- Establish and report progress on OKRs, strategy, and KPIs for executive reporting
- Responsible for its budgetary and financial control
- Analyse activities, costs and operations to determine progress toward established goals
- Review operations and plans for meeting revenue goals, ascertaining requirements for developing new products and markets
- Partner effectively across the company to execute the product plan and deliver the biggest impact

**Qualifications**:

- More than 7-year demonstratable experience in strategic planning or product marketing or entrepreneurial success in Conversational AI domain
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, including senior executives
- Hands-on experience in strategy development, customer and market research, and financial modelling/ planning
- Strong passion for Data Science/AI adoption and being customer and data driven
- High-level understanding of big data systems and data analytics
- Business level Japanese a big plus as you will need to communicate closely with our Japan HQ

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to $10,000.00 per month
