The Assistant Manager (Internship) is both an individual contributor and supporting the Team Manager in the supervision of the internship programme management team.

**Responsibilities**

**Programme Operations and Customer Service Management**

1) To be able to take responsibilities on the following.
- Manage the internship programme(s) according to assigned areas of discipline of studies.
- Manage assigned internship campaigns to make sure that they are kept up to date.
- Monitor and manage all placement activities of eligible students in the programme; and to report and/or manage any discrepancies and issues arising from placement.

2) Assist the Team Manager in arrangement of event activities to inform students about internship, internship procedures and performance during internship.

3) Manage end-to-end work-integrated education processes of assigned internship programme(s):

- Monitor internship placement progress and highlight issues to the Team Manager for improvements.
- Resolve any internship related issues arising from either students and/or internship Employer(s); and if needed, to escalate issues the Team Manager.
- Follow-up and manage all feedback including timely response whether from Employers and/or students with regards internship services.
- Suggest improvements to the internship practices, operational and customer services processes, to the Team Manager.

**Business Development & Stakeholders Management**

4) Plan and engage with both potential and current Employers to source for more internship opportunities for internship students.

5) Co-ordinate with the schools to create awareness about internship and preparing students for their internship.

6) Assist the Team Manager in planning stakeholders engagement events and to create more awareness towards NTU's internship programmes.

**Team Supervision and Management**

7) Assist the Team Manager in the daily operations of the team including solving any unexpected operational issues in the Team Manager's absence.

8) Review and identify possible areas of service improvements and working closely with the team members to improve service outcome.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in any field from a recognized University, or those with a polytechnic diploma with extensive relevant working experiences may also apply.
- At least 2 to 4 years working experiences with exposure small team supervisory and/or management role, internship/training management, customer services and service delivery experience preferably in tertiary education, adult education sectors and/or government agencies environment.
- Some prior experiences in managing projects or any initiatives within a team, and/or across different teams in an organization.
- Successful track record in the management of internships/ cooperative education/ work-study degree programme/ workplace learning/ performance enhancement or adult education highly advantageous.
- Good written and spoken communication skills.
- Able to work with diverse groups of stakeholders.
- Able to lead a small team of co-workers of 1 or 2 members.
- A team player who is able to contribute effectively towards team efforts.
