An exciting opportunity awaits a skilled AVP Market Surveillance to join a prestigious financial institution.
We are in search of an AVP Market Surveillance professional with **robust experience in derivatives trading or derivatives trade surveillance**. In this capacity, you will identify potential **market misconduct** and other behaviour impacting operations. Your responsibilities will encompass reviewing and implementing frameworks, policies and procedures to enhance trade surveillance and market misconduct investigations. You'll undertake regular and daily tasks to monitor market activity, including but not limited to analyzing trading alerts triggered by unusual transactions and orders, escalating suspicious trading behaviour for investigations, and liaising with regulators and law enforcement agencies as needed. Additionally, you will be involved in reviewing and updating alert parameters and logic.
Moreover, you will also support corporate governance matters, including reviewing and implementing processes and procedures to fortify internal governance. Collaborating closely with your team, you'll also handle other related functions, such as reviewing whistleblowing complaints and disciplinary breaches.
To excel in this role, you should possess at least 5 years of experience in derivatives trading or derivatives trade surveillance, with a background in investigation/law enforcement being a plus. Experience working with exchanges, strong teamwork skills, and excellent writing, communication and interpersonal abilities are essential. IT literacy and proficiency in working with large databases are preferred.
