A new Market Surveillance position (6 months contract) for a global bank in Singapore. Looking for someone with prior market surveillance experience and good mandarin speaking skills as you will be dealing with China Markets.
- This role has a high chance of conversion

**Day to day responsibilities**:

- Main responsibility is handle and conduct analysis of ecomm surveillance alerts in Chinese
- Support the regional strategic market expansion and global surveillance projects by conducting UAT and post production validation
- Respond to and monitor issues, including escalation and managing them to successful closure;
- Perform analysis of new or changes in regulations, and work with Compliance, Technology and Business to implement any changes needed to our surveillance model or approach
- Support global surveillance risk assessment Support Business expansion in Greater China and Taiwan - analysis of surveillance requirements and implementation
- Management of MI for governance meetings;
- Assist in regulatory inspection, audits and internal investigation/reviews
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and investigation into suspicious market misconduct cases and provide summary of analysis.

**Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications**:

- At Least 5 work experience in the financial industry including coverage ecomm/trade surveillance areas.
- Experience in e-communication surveillance is preferred
- Experience in advisory and/or surveillance Compliance at an investment bank and good knowledge of the laws and regulations for the relevant areas
- Bachelor degree required.
- Good skills in understanding the relevant laws and regulations
- Strong verbal and written communication in English/Chinese, good interpersonal and influencing skills as you will be dealing with China markets
- Strong control mindset
- Understanding of Market/Ecomm Surveillance Systems
- Successfully delivered and embedded meaningful change; and
- Experience of working in a global matrix environment
