**General Overview:
- The Risk Management Department is responsible for the independent assessment, measurement, monitoring and reporting of the firm’s market, credit and operational risk profiles.
- The primary focus of the Investment Risk Management (IRM) team globally is to lead Nikko AM’s portfolio oversight and risk measurement processes across our investment strategies. Through close partnership with the investment teams across fixed income, equity and multi-asset strategies, the team helps and supports the understanding of risk in portfolios to improve the efficiency of risk taking. The team also provides oversight on management of counterparty and liquidity risk.

**Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, monitor and report risk exposures and changes in risk profile of investment portfolios, and ensure that critical issues are escalated and resolved in a timely manner.
- Prepare, analyze and deliver periodic investment risk reporting and analytics for regular/adhoc monitoring, as well as management reporting.
- Develop key insights from analyzing portfolio reports and market developments to drive discussions in risk meetings.
- Keep abreast of investment trends and market developments to identify emerging risks and assess potential impact to our portfolios through scenario analysis/stress testing.
- Maintain and improve the investment risk management processes and procedures, including data elements required for risk processes.
- Contribute to RFP/RFI efforts, development of new products and investment solutions by providing risk-related inputs.
- Design, develop and implement process automation using Python.

**Knowledge and Skills
- Clear, logical thinker with strong analytical skills and natural curiosity.
- Required programming skill: Python (libraries such as Pandas)
- Good to have programming skills: Git, SQL, Database management
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office especially Excel, Excel VBA
- Knowledge of equity risk analysis, risk measures and methodologies.
- Proactive team player and problem solver.
- Good organizational skills with ability to multi-task without compromising timeliness and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high quality work in timely manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

**Experience and Qualification
- 1-3 years’ relevant work experience in portfolio analysis, data analysis, and/or risk management.
- Bachelor Degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative/technical discipline.
- Experience in the use of risk analytical tools including MSCI BarraOne, FactSet and other leading risk systems will be advantageous.
