This role will lead a team of global project managers responsible for a wide variety of People and related cross-functional teams whose work is essential to Apple’s expansion around the world. This role requires excellent leadership skills along with a broad understanding of HR and its key functional areas, including the definition and execution of strategies related to HR Systems, Recruitment, and Training in order to successfully execute multiple international projects simultaneously and drive the formation of an employee experience which is culturally relevant and consistent with Apple’s core values.
**Description**
- Lead a team of highly skilled global project managers - Lead and support projects utilizing project management skills, process improvement, functional knowledge, budget expertise, business acumen, and cultural awareness - Effectively prioritize, delegate, and deliver projects and tasks - Develop and foster positive working relationships and work collaboratively across functional teams and organizations to drive results and proactively mitigate risks - Foster career development and growth of the team - Resolve issues where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives - Develop and drive business performance objectives - Ensures and leads by example the expectations of the team’s core values within Apple’s business conduct expectations - Navigate and execute in an environment of ambiguity - Develop effective communication strategies to keep teams informed on progress, challenges, and barriers
**Minimum Qualifications**
- At least 12 years of project management experience
- Experience leading global project teams and international projects
- Demonstrate ability to lead and complete large-scale, long term projects on time and within budget
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Broad understanding of HR and key functional areas
- Experience in Retail, High-Tech and/ or Consulting industries preferred
- Strong consultative skills and ability to develop relationships quickly - a well respected, trusted partner whom others want to work with
- Global thinker with a proven ability to learn on the fly and maintain composure in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with fluid deadlines
- Strong team orientation and collaborative style. Flexible attitude and an ability to get involved in the details while maintaining a wider view
- Excellent process management, planning, and organizational skills. Resilient and determined to ensure projects and deliverables are achieved
- Commitment to gain consensus and build effective partnerships by driving ideas from concept to execution
- Robust analytical skills and business acumen, with an ability to see the implications of actual and planned activities, adding value to leadership decisions
- Strong influencing skills and a knack for negotiation with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently when advising senior leaders
- Find opportunities to ensure processes and practices are efficient, effective, and scalable through thorough measurement and analysis
- High integrity and ethics in handling confidential information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate relevant information at all levels of the organization

- Previous Merger and Acquisition experience is helpful
