**Overview of job**

GroupM is the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. We are currently looking for an **Investment Director**to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of key clients media investment for the APAC region, lead the overall GroupM function of programmatic supply sourcing and maximising trading revenue opportunity for our clients. This position would be based out of our Hong Kong office.

**OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE**:
It encompasses 3 areas of responsibility:

- To successfully lead and manage the **successfull delivery of key clients media investment for the APAC region**Manage the client value offer, creation, delivery and reporting
Manage 3rdparty auditors and ensure the client’s buying is being correctly evaluated
Drive Trading revenue growth and inventory sales for allocated client portfolio
Roll up local market client portfolio buying performance into regularly regional buying reports
Educate and inform clients on group’s Trading strategy, priorities and products
Convey and promote overall One Voice Trading benefits to clients in a modern and contemporary manner
Client portfolio to be supplied separately / regular direct client contact will be a necessity
- To effectively lead the overall **GroupM function of “programmatic” supply sourcing;**developing our local market supply capabilities and client offering, focusing on China and India initiallyWorking with the local digital leads, develop and consult on the groups joined up programmatic opps and supply capabilities, inclusive of all in agency trade desks (e.g. Fast/Ultra)
Development and management of the GMSM and product/service portfolio
Articulate to client teams and agencies the groups programmatic strategy and offerings, within the overall digital trading strategy
To lead the growth of the groups proprietary products and services, “powered” by the GMSM
To oversee the set up and growth of the group’s local market proprietary and enhanced media products, working with the local market leads.
- To successfully **maximise Trading revenue**opportunity for the portfolio of clients and GroupM function through selling of the groups trading productsTo drive growth of Opt in’s and Disclosure letter agreements for the allocated client mix
To successfully ensure the allocated client mix meet inventory sales billing targets for the calendar year.
Working with the local markets ensure the mix of clients are selling the groups’ inventory products in the correct and effective manner.
To be the APAC Trading representative for the allocated global agency, for global clients and the global agencies ‘go to person’ on Trading and media investment

**THE INDIVIDUAL**:
This is an exciting role with lots of challenges, but the opportunity to be at the very forefront of our GroupM Trading deals with vendors across the region, and adapting best practices from global trading.
- An ability to lead, influence and manage local teams remotely from multiple Asia cultures in APAC
- An experienced trader who has 15+ years in media buying and trading
- Be willing to travel across the South East Asia region and beyond on a regularly basis, sometimes independently
- An understanding of digital trading and a perspective on how the group can drive value for clients and sustainable incentives
- A fast learner who is able to adapt to different situations and surroundings, whilst still delivering on stretch targets.
- An ability to self-manage without day to day direction or supervision
- Be able to pull together multiple specialist leaders to work collectively to achieve mutual goals, without direct reporting lines
- Excellent analytical / problem solving skills with the patience to examine detail and create solutions;
- Have the energy and enthusiasm to relentlessly drive growth and change across the business and embrace new initiatives and practices
- The ability to be a strong charismatic leader as well as an approachable hands on manager who is prepared to “roll their sleeves up” and get into detail as neededHigh emotional intelligence, maturity and able to manage self and others in a constructive manner, always with a talent mindset;
