Our client, a leading news aggregator is looking for a Director of Ad Sales to help them grow their business in APAC.
Roles and responsibilities
- Grow the ads business sales by driving the acquisition of cross-border
advertisers and agencies.
- Develop and own the business growth strategies and its execution
- Build the team of Cross Border Business group, and manage and develop the team.
- Develop systems and operations in cooperation with relevant departments to ensure
smooth transactions with overseas clients
- Collaborating with Ad Products and other key departments to enhance our products via
customer feedback-sharing and other customer-related activities
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years or more of sales experience in the digital ads-related industry.
- Proven track record of delivering result
- Experience of 3 years or more in cross-border transactions and working experience serving clients in Asia countries.
- 5 years or more of experience in managing large sales teams (10 or more members; multiple teams simultaneously)
- Experience in hiring and building a team at an overseas office
- Business-level English and Japanese (Chinese is a big plus)
- Ability to make frequent business trips for on-site project management, and ability to carry out new customer acquisition and manage relationships with both new and existing customers
- Nice to have: Working experience at a startup
- Nice to have: Experience of owning a large-sized sales target (billions of JPY)
Career experience with Google, Twitter, Meta, Tiktok, Bytedance will be a added bonus.
Trilingual ability is preferred at this time (Business level English, Chinese and Japanese)
