**What the role is**
- Situated within the historic Istana Kampong Glam, a gazetted national monument, the Malay Heritage Centre showcases the history, culture and contributions of the Malay community within the context of Singapore’s history and multi-cultural society. In this role, you should have a strong passion and interest in Malay history, culture and heritage. You see yourself leading a team of cultural professionals to develop programmes, education and outreach initiatives to cater to different groups of audience, bringing heritage and culture to life. You understand the importance of establishing partnerships and the need for building rapport and engaging the community to increase appreciation and understanding of Malay heritage. This is a role where you will be contributing actively to the development of culture and heritage of the Singaporean Malay identity.

**Responsibilities**
- Strategise and develop an effective audience engagement plan that includes festivals, programmes, education and outreach initiatives onsite/offsite and online taking into account MHC’s diverse audience
- Lead the team in creating engaging content aligned with MHC’s strategic outcomes both for physical and digital consumption.
- Be hands-on in developing and executing programmes and other initiatives where needed.
- Prepare programme proposals, budget, KPI reporting, impact evaluation, post-programme reporting and analysis
- Identify and foster partnerships with community partners, government agencies and other organisations locally and internationally to extend reach of programmes
- Actively identify, develop relations and partnerships with stakeholders through co-created programmes, initiatives and other forms of engagement.

**Requirements**:

- Preferably at least five years of relevant working experience in heritage-related projects and/or events management with at least three years of experience in leading a team
- Experience in digital content creation is advantageous.
- Strong passion and interest in both local and Malay history, culture and heritage
- A resourceful and good team player with strong interpersonal skills, good writing and communications skills
- Attention to details with ability to multi-task
- Able to work outside of regular office hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
