Operations Analyst

**Role Summary**

Responsible for providing transition support to BAU operations team on BBG PROD by allowing BAU team resources to be diverted for TOM implementation in Aladdin in the run up to go live e.g. Aladdin / BNYM Training / Pilot / Parallel Run activities.

This position plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day collateral management activities of the Derivatives Business Management (DBM).

**Main Responsibilities**
- OTC Margining and Collateral Settlement:

- Support the daily routine of collateral valuation, margining, dispute resolution, collateral settlement, reconciliation, substitution, coupon claims, interest payment on cash collateral and escalate any issues in a timely manner to team head.
- Review and follow up any exceptions on daily reports from external service vendors.
- Prepare ad-hoc transfers forms to GFS for security collateral movements.
- Exchange Traded Derivatives Collateral Management:

- Reconciliation of daily margin call amount on statements from clearing agents.
- Review cash buffer in margin accounts with clearing agents.
- Arranging security transfer for initial margin if applicable and updating internal records accordingly.
- Reconcile security collateral balance with clearing agent if applicable.
- Collateral management:

- Maintenance of the collateral inventory list and communicate it to BP2S.
- Block position in Bloomberg AIM for the list of eligible collaterals.
- Preparation of ad-hoc transfer form to GFS for securities posted as collaterals.
- Review collateral holdings report sent by BP2S.
- Perform daily position reconciliation on collateral pool securities.
- Prepare coupon payments to EFM
- Process Security lending and collateral swaps to increase bonds in the collateral pools.
- Support the movement of bonds to collateral pool from portfolios.
- Segregated Initial Margin:

- Reconciliation of collateral balance with segregated initial margin custodian.
- Coordinate the asset transfer with segregated initial margin custodian.
- Review daily reports and escalate any exception to team head for follow up action.
- Monitoring of the segregated initial margin thresholds.
- Reconciliation of segregated initial margin exposures with external service vendors.
- Collateral Optimization & Intra-fund Security Lending:

- Process any necessary asset transfers for collateral optimization or intra-fund security lending.
- Reconciliation of collateral inventory balance.
- Preparation of security lending confirmation.
- Maintenance of collateral inventory and intra-fund security lending records, and communicate the same with internal clients and external service vendor.
- Daily collateral inventory pool reporting.
- Cash Collateral Management:

- Preparation of Start of Day and End of Day cash corridor report for internal clients.
- Reconciliation of cash collateral pool balance.
- Derivatives processing:

- Confirm trade in Bloomberg AIM and downstream flow to BP2S.
- Follow up any exception or dispute escalated from BP2S and liaise with BP2S & Traders to resolve trade capture, confirmation and settlement issues.
- Send long form confirmation to Legal for review, return signed confirmations to counterparties.
- Upload confirmation into derivatives Sharepoint.
- Reconcile cash lifecycle in Bloomberg AIM vs confirmed cash provided by BP2S.
- Ensure trade booking and maintain life cycle of EFM derivatives products in Bloomberg AIM.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Banking and Finance or relevant fields.
- Minimally 5 years of working experience in operations support of a fund management industry or an asset management company or insurance company, preferably with derivatives operation experience.
- Settlement knowledge of various investment instruments.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good computer knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong initiatives, able to multi-task and work under pressure.
