**Objectives and responsibilities of this role**
- This role is for a resident director that will serve the purpose of enabling Blockfort Pte. Ltd. to meet the legal requirement for Singapore companies to have one director ordinarily resident in Singapore at all times, in accordance with Section 145 (1) of the Singapore Companies Act 1963;
- The director will not act in any executive capacity or undertake any commercial decision or assume any commercial responsibility on behalf of the Company, unless agreed in writing with Blockfort Pte. Ltd.;
- The director will not be appointed as bank signatory to the corporate bank account(s) of the Company or as a shareholder of the Company unless agreed in writing;
- As part of the role as Resident Director, the director may be required to sign board resolutions, minutes of meeting and bank account opening documentation. These deliverables will incur no additional fees and is included in the annual fees.
**Skills and qualifications**
- Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in business administration, finance or related field
- Three or more years of relevant working experience
- Working knowledge of MAS regulations and legal guidelines for payment service operators in Singapore will be an advantage
- Knowledge of operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, and employee management
**Preferred qualifications**
- Prior working experience in payment service industry is preferred but not a must
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of business management software (ex: Microsoft Office).
