Furthermore, we are also Mindful, Driven by Excellence, and High Integrity. **What you'll be responsible for**: As a key member of the global accounting team, you will support our Asia-Pacific offices in all financial and accounting matters including financial operations, financial reporting, managing local statutory audits and ensuring we meet regulatory requirements around customer assets and capital requirements. In addition you will also provide important support to the US head office related to the global monthly close and US audits. **What you'll work on**: - Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts for Asia-Pacific legal entities and accompanying flux analysis and report out to the US finance team during monthly and quarterly close reviews. - Assess resource needs and buildout/manage local accounting team to support future growth as needed. - Manage statutory audit plans for Asia-Pacific legal entities and act as the key point of contact for local auditors. Ensure audits deadlines are met with no significant findings. - Own the preparation of statutory accounts including footnote support and translation between IFRS and US GAAP as required for the quarterly financial statements process. - Collaborate with Circle's Technical accounting team to assess the impact of new products and significant and unusual transactions on the statutory accounts and ensure appropriate local GAAP requirements are considered and accounted for appropriately. - Act as key accounting contact with local Singapore regulatory authorities for enquiries and ensuring regulatory reporting requirements are satisfied. - Work cross-functionally with other departments at Circle to help ensure optimal financial outcomes, mitigate risk and work on strategic initiatives including new product launches. - Work with the FP&A team to support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for Circle's Asia locations. - Work with the Treasury team to perform cash flow forecasting for the various Circle Asia entities and ensure they are appropriately capitalized from both an operational and regulatory perspective. - Support operational needs of all Circle Asia entities as required including rollout of new finance systems, supporting ERP implementation for local reporting requirements, supporting the payroll process and setting up international banking payment instructions. - Work closely with Circle's tax team and tax advisors to manage local tax requirements of Circle Asia entities including corporate tax returns and tax provision calculations. - Work with the Internal Controls & SOX team to ensure processes and internal controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance that company assets are protected. **You will aspire to our four core values**: - **Multi Stakeholder**: - you have dedication and commitment to our customers, shareholders, employees and families and local communities: - **Mindful** - you seek to be respectful, an active listener and to pay attention to detail; - **Driven by Excellence**: - you are driven by our mission and our passion for customer success which means you relentlessly pursue excellence, that you do not tolerate mediocrity and you work intensely to achieve your goals; - **High Integrity** - you seek open and honest communication, and you hold yourself to very high moral and ethical standards. You reject manipulation, dishonesty and intolerance. **What you'll bring to Circle**: - 12+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally from public accounting, and experience working in a startup environment or for a technology company. - Experience preparing financial statements under IFRS (mandatory) and US GAAP (highly desirable). - Experience managing audits autonomously, acting as the key point of contact and managing the end-to-end process. - Strong time management, prioritization and organizational skills to manage accounting workflows and execute on cross-functional projects simultaneously. - Experience working with multinational companies including multi-currency and consolidation accounting. - Ability to roll up sleeves on detailed work
